Torrey Orton

Torrey has M.A.’s in Philosophy and Education from Yale University, and has worked in training & development for 30 years in China, Europe, North America, and Australia. With additional qualifications in organisational change and as a registered psychologist, he has line management experience in performance management, large group consultation, IT systems building and management, and management development.

  He has worked in line and staff roles in government, education, banking and public utilities in Australia, China, France and the US, allowing him to approach consulting tasks from a variety of perspectives.  His consulting competence includes intercultural management, multi-national localisation processes, strategic planning, negotiation & influencing, and executive team effectiveness. Management of distrust in East-West workplaces is a special feature of his work. He is author of the Australia China Business Council’s Doing Business in Australia manual for PRC investors in Australia (1999).
